A great setting for a wonderful experience for individuals, families or groups. Located on the Ceilidh Trail on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia

The setting is beautiful and we are very close to spectacular hiking trails. During lobster season you could experience a day on a fishing boat and bring home your catch for dinner. You could spend the day kayaking or mountain biking and take in traditional Cape Breton fiddle music in the evening. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset at West Mabou Beach. Mabou is an area filled with musical heritage and Gaelic culture.

There is entertainment within 20 minutes of the Hostel each night throughout the summer. We also have the West Mabou Family Square Dance year round on Saturday nights from 10 pm  1 am.

Start your day with our superior complimentary full breakfast, featuring our homemade breads, biscuits (scones), a variety of cereals, juices, tea and coffee. At the end of the day we highly recommend our pizza. Licensed restaurant, guest kitchen, laundry; common areas with big-screen TV, VCR, DVD; large deck, BBQ, play area. Conference & office facilities. Also there are excellent local eating establishments.
